After months of fundraising, Guernsey now has its own dedicated MRI scanner facility. We were pleased to be able to supply the unit with a huge landscape photograph, completely free of charge. The scanning procedure itself can be quite intimidating : the patient is slowly drawn into the noisy machine, while having to lie completely still on a stretcher bed. In an effort to attain an aura of calmness and well-being in the room, we were asked by the team at the PEH to supply an image to adorn two entire walls of the scanning room. They needed a warming, tranquil scene to calm the mood of the patients and hopefully make the experience more bearable. We initially chose a selection of shots that fitted the brief and left the final choice to the MRI team. By far the biggest picture we have ever produced and we were happy to donate it to a worthy cause. In addition we gave the department 3 blockmounted photographs to brighten up the walls of their waiting room. |
